Background
Ninth Avenue Terminal Partners has made a proposal to the City of Oakland to re-use the historic Ninth Avenue Terminal as a Vintners Hall, which includes a working winery and tasting room, a restaurant, a water-oriented retail shop, and a snack bar. The proposal presents the opportunity to preserve a landmark building and create an exciting destination on Oakland's waterfront without requiring any City subsidy.

Update: On January 20th 2009 the Oakland City Council will meet to discuss the Oak to 9th project. We need members of the community to come out and show support for the reuse of the Ninth Avenue Terminal.
On June 5, the City Council indicated its support for the project and required Ninth Avenue Terminal Partners to complete a structural analysis of the building and wharf, update the cost estimate for the project, and perform other tasks to justify the feasibility of the project. We completed this work and submitted the results to the City of Oakland staff on October 15, 2007.
